The chemical engineering department was established in 1996. It focuses and trains people who can shape the future with competence and dedication. Its courses include all important aspects of chemical engineering with more emphasis on analysis and implementation of various types of technologies and development. Department has fully equipped laboratories to facilitate students to improve their practical knowledge in different subjects. We try to insist value through courses, activities, events and environment created in department.
In the department, we have elite faculty members with excellent teaching experience. Our institute is affiliated to GBTU, Lucknow and our curriculum has world class norms, in order to provide not only the informational but also to provide and knowledge to create wisdom in this field.
Department has fully developed infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, and departmental library. Apart from this, department regularly organizes seminars and workshop on its own or with collaboration with other elite institutions. Department is well equipped with CAD lab with chemical engineering software like ASPEN, ORIGIN, PROSIMULATOR, etc. in order to provide more quality education.

CHEMICAL ENGINEERS built & operate chemical manufacturing plants. Their approach is to break down the manufacturing operations into a series of steps. All the labs in Chemical Engineering Department are well-equipped and properly furnished with modern equipment. These equipments sufficiently incorporate all the processes concerned with Chemical Engineering. It is essential that chemical engineering students have a comprehensive picture of the Chemical engineering laboratories provide the student a wide range of equipment for understanding the subject clearly.

In chemical industries, the term Mass transfer operation includes such techniques as distillation, gas absorption, humidification and dehumidification, adsorption, liquid extraction, leaching, crystallization, drying and number of other techniques. So, it is very clear that mass transfer operations are backbone of any chemical industries.
Laboratory is well equipped with following equipment :
Bubble Cap, Vacuum & Steam Distillation tower.
- Vapor-Liquid Extraction & Liquid-Liquid Extraction.
- Crystallizers.
- Absorption in packed bed & Sieve trays.
- Dryer
- Water Cooling Tower. Etc.
This Laboratory deals with various types of unit operations such as screening, filtration, sedimentation, crushing etc.
Laboratory is well equipped with following equipment :
- Crushers: Jaw and Roll crusher.
- Cyclone Separator.
- Centrifugal Blower.
- Cone Classifier.
- Filters: Plate & Frame, Rotary Vacuum.
- Sedimentation Tank. Etc.
This lab deals with the various heat transfer operation such as conduction, convection, radiation, boiling condensation and evaporation.
Laboratory is well equipped with following equipment :
Heat Transfer from Pin Fin.
- Heat Transfer from Lagged Pipe.
- Stefan Boltzmann Apparatus.
- Emissivity measurement Apparatus.
- Thermal Conductivity of Insulating material. Etc.
Chemical Engineering Reaction is deals with the chemical kinetics, Design of reactors such as plug flow reactor, continuous stirred tank reactors, different series and parallel operations in reactors etc.
Laboratory is well equipped with following equipment :
- Batch Reactor.
- Semi-batch Reactor.
- Fluidized Bed.
- Isothermal & Non- isothermal CSTR Etc.
Fluid mechanics lab helps to understand basic concepts in fluid mechanics specially its static, dynamics and kinematics along with different pumping operations and velocity measurements to get better understanding of the subject.
Laboratory is well equipped with following equipment :
- Venturimeter.
- Orifice meter.
- Notches & Weirs.
- Bernoulli’s Setup. Etc.
Different chemical industries require to automatically control of the various parameters such as temperature, pressure, velocities of fluid flow etc. Therefore the main objective of this lab is to provide the knowledge about the control systems.
Laboratory is well equipped with following equipment :
- PLC Trainer
- Cascade Controllers.
- Control valve characteristics.
- Interacting systems.
- Non Interacting systems. Etc.
Environmental Engineering lab deals with the study of BOD, COD, and alternate energy resources like biogas, aerobic and anaerobic digestion process along with different separation techniques.
Laboratory is well equipped with following equipment :
- Deep Bed Filter Column.
- Aerobic Digester.
- Anaerobic Digester.
- Sedimentation Unit.
- Aeration Unit.
- Thickener.
