Civil Engineering

Department of Civil Engineering was established in year 1990. Its courses include all important subjects of civil engineering with more emphasis on the analysis and design of various types of real life problems faced by civil engineers. The department is engaged by Ministry of Urban Development, govt. of India and U.P. Jal Nigam to field and sector professionals of various govt. departments. In last 15 years department has organized seminar on “Environment Aspects of Engineering Practices ( ENEAP-98) ” during 17-18 April 1998 and national conference on “Application of Remote Sensing & GIS in Resource Management”. The department has conducted number of training programs to train field engineers of RES and Jal Nigam. Presently deptt. has 3 sponsored projects under various schemes of AICTE and DST, New Delhi worth Rs. 41 lakhs.

To provide continuous and quality feedback about latest developments in electronics technologies :

The department has full developed fluid mechanics Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, Geo-Technical Engineering Lab, Concrete Lab and Survey Lab. The dept. has also got grant to establish state of art CAD Lab with internet facilities. In a short span of 13 years of its existence the department has established its reputation in providing consultancy in the field of design of various Civil Engg. structures and testing of building material, highway material, soils. The department has also number of research projects sponsored by AICTE/DFT/CST .

Under the guidance of faculty, students of Civil Department develop temperament and character in such a way that they easily sail through GATE, GRE and CAT. Furthure Civil Department running a branch council “CEA”which is taking initiatives to provide environment to student so that they can do well in corporate sector.

Students of Civil Department come in contact of various big and small famous and lesser known, Construction Companies and most of the time they are able to leave their mark on that company. As a result their are great chances of companies visiting the campus and the students concerned or related with that company surely gets selected.
